“ALL IS SET FOR MY SINGING MARATHON AND THERE IS NO GOING BACK” – AFUA ASANTEWAA

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a prominent broadcast journalist and women empowerment advocate is set to embark on a remarkable journey in breaking the world longest singathon title which is currently held an indian named Sunil Waghmare at a record of 105 hours.

Asantewaa announced her reciept of the green light on her social media pages and her attempt to sing for a duration of 117 -120 hours. she mentioned in a press briefing today that, the record breaking attempt is a way to showcase Ghanaian music to the world.

“There has been a conversation on Ghanaian music and how Nigerian music is doing so this is a call for all Ghanaians and not just for me or my family. I am doing just Ghanaian songs within the given or said time tho i can do other songs but this is to promote our songs and industry” she added.

Asantewaa used the opportunity to also seek for sponsors to come on board to help the project ahead of her as she compared it to a moment such as Ghana Black Stars playing a football match and is therefore calling on all organizations to come on board this trip.

She also acknowlegded some personels who have reached out to her in terms of push and support such as Electroland Ghana, Verna Mineral Water,NanaAma McBrown,Shatta Wale amongst others who have in one way or the other boasted her morale for which she has no turning back at this point.

Asantewaa also mentioned that the Aviation social Centre would be the venue for the much anticipated event and extends an invite to all person to feel free and come on board.
